The story began in 2009. Minoru Kurata, director of 86 Pompadour bakeries in Japan was on the lookout for a baker who was ‘Best Tradesman in France’ to form a partnership and open more Boulangeries à la Française.
After three years work (finding premises, building workshops, finding and perfecting various products), the first Boulangerie named ‘Vent de Ludo’ opened its doors on the 23rd April 2012 on a day of typical Breton drizzle in the Japanese capital.

A second shop , a Corner in a departmental store (a sales outlet popular in Japan and specifically dealing with one named product) opened in March 2013 in the busy and celebrated district of Shibuya in Tokyo.
